GYB Little League is a 501(c)(3) Little League baseball organization for children between the ages of 4 and 14 years of age.  Based in Greenbelt, Maryland our organization accepts players from all over the area including: Hyattsville, New Carrollton, College Park, Colmar Manor, Riverdale Park, Berwyn Heights, Adelphi and Lanham. GYB Little League is grounded on the values of sportsmanship and teamwork.  Our volunteer coaches and board members work hard to ensure that every player finds a rewarding experience in a positive environment while creating life-long memories.

Divisions

Tee Ball (ages 4-6)- Tee-Ball division is a non-competitive program focused on fun, fitness, and fundamentals, introducing players ages 4-6 to the basics baseball. Teams are coaches by parent volunteers working together to run games and practices. Please consider volunteering during registration. 

Machine Pitch (ages 7-8)-  Players hit the ball from a pitching machine. Emphasis is placed on proper throwing and hitting mechanics, as well as defense/fielding. The focus is skill development.  Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in this level. 

Minors (9-11)-  Competitive league.  Positional players fine-tune fundamentals.  Pitchers learn variations of 3 basic pitches. Arm strength, command and control are introduced.  Bat speed becomes a bigger focus.  Players are tournament team eligible and can qualify for the Little League World Series.  

Intermediate (11-13) -  Players learn the 5 tools in preparation for the high-school levels.  Players are tournament team eligible.

Juniors (13-14) -  Players utilize the various skills to compete at a high level in preparation for the high-school levels.  Players are tournament team eligible.
