Starting in Spring 2025, each family participating in GYBLL is required to directly or indirectly support their child’s team
This can be done in one of two ways:
Support of the team/league:
If a family chooses to support a child’s team, the requirement is no less than 15 hours per season by July 1 for Spring Season, November 15 for Fall Season. If hours are not met by the deadline, the family will be invoiced an amount that must be paid before the child can play another season. If a family only has a t-ball player, then the number of required hours is 5 hours.
Indirect Support Option:
Instead of supporting their child’s team through a support role listed above, parents may pay $150 per family at registration. This releases a family from the direct role support hours requirement for one season.
There are MANY opportunities that are available to earn those 15 hours.
Support roles available include but are not limited to:
1. Permanent Board Member
▪ For an individual parent/guardian who has stood for election to the GYB board and are in good standing with the board through at least one season, this fully counts towards the direct support requirement.
2. League Support
▪ The GYB board will recommend a position and if performed sufficiently as determined by the board, that will be full credit towards the direct support requirement
· Examples could include the following:
◦ Running picture day
◦ Field maintenance
◦ Equipment maintenance/organization

▪ Encourages and communicates league and/or team fund raising efforts.
Couple of notes:
For parents with more than one child participating in GYBLL, only one team must be supported, regardless of the number of different children they have playing on teams.
The league coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the support roles and monitoring the participation. Each team will hold a parent meeting to include the League Coordinator where support roles will be discussed and support roles are selected.
Each team will have access to a web-accessible location to record support hours, validated by the head coach or team representative, and the league coordinator
End of Season Indirect Support
· Families who did not participate sufficiently to meet the family support requirements will be invoiced for the indirect support option amount. Outstanding support option payments must be made prior to any future player registrations from a given family
